Hi Everyone, well the AGM was run in July & most positions were kept
similar to before except there's a new President at the helm. I'm looking
forward to working with the other members of the comittee this year & I'm
available to talk about anything sidecar related anytime.
The Introduction day has now been fixed to Saturday December 3rd as we can share the track with the MV marshalls day. We have limited the number of spots available to 35 participants. So, if you have people waiting to put their application in, tell them to pull their finger out or they'll miss out! While I'm on about the intro day, this year the main part of the day is for the PAYING people. We will be allowing a free for all at the end of the day for current riders & passengers to go & have fun. I'd rather not be telling off riders for taking out their mates/sponsors for free when the aim of the intro day is to encourage new people into our sport.
I'd like to thank Jan for the effort she's put into the Web page & now setting up a forum to get more information out there quicker. Have a look, it's great!
On a sad note, Ken Wooton passed away recently, motorcyle racing in Australia will miss him. RIP Ken.
I've been working madly with huge amounts of help from Justin & Melissa Foot to fit the new fairing to the bike before the next race meeting as I tipped it over after mucking about at the end of the handicap race at Winton recently. DOH! I'm putting progress photos on the forum as we go along.
